This could puth Johnson and Johnson out of business for their “No more tears” baby shampoo! Look at that little cutie…now he can just relax and enjoy the head massage without fear soap in his eyes!

I saw this online the other day. Amusing and kind of gross to think about, but also very telling of the true distance and things that parents do/don’t think about when it comes to their children. I can’t say that I would love to be in this situation, but anytime bodily functions are involved, it takes true love/caring/understanding to get past the “icky” part of it.
Even though there are no pictures that I can recall, I know there were probably some bathroom incidents and a few vomit ones in my past; thank you Mom and Dad for powering through it and making me feel better!
Found this on Facebook a few weeks back. I think it is just a rendering, which is too bad; this would be a cool, modern interpretation on the famous clocks by Salvador Dalí. What do you think? Like the post to tell me how many of you would enjoy checking the time on on this every day!
Also, if you are interested in more things Dalí, check out this post from Victor Tribunsky!
Just found this photo on Facebook today and felt I needed to share it! This is a mining city located in the Andes in central Peru. The mine produces lead, zinc and sliver; copper used to be mined as well, but it has been depleted. This is not a post about the reasons why or why we shouldn’t mine, or an opinion about the environment, etc. I merely posted this because it shows the crazy things that go on in Peru sometimes. How many countries would let its cities build that close to a mine? This is horrible, I just hope the sides of the excavation are stable!
So, it used to be that Lima was the gateway city to Peru; not much going on and people couldn’t get out of it fast enough. Okay, maybe that was the case many years back, but the city has been cleaning up its act and apparently it is working!
I wouldn’t have thought that Lima would make the number 1 searched locations of 2011, but it has every right to be up there. A great culinary scene that is just becoming discovered by the world, great historical preservation, the beach and a booming economy that is attracting more and more foreign business and development…well, yeah it is number 1!
Summer is upon us here in Lima and as I write this, the sun is about halfway through its final rest for the day. As I gaze out of the window of my apartment, all I can see are the para-gliders lazily floating along the coastal skyline, taking in those last rays on what was a wonderful Saturday. (Okay, so this isn’t my photo because my view is also full of tall buildings and the Canadian Embassy, but I can see the ocean and the paragliders. And I can vouch that the sunsets really do look like this! I just wanted to give you a better, more enjoy able view…one that I wish I had!!) It is good to be number 1.
Thank you to Horiwood’s Blog for posting this information! Check out their post to see the other top locations. I spent an incredible year living and working in Auckland…heaps of great memories made there! Kia ora!
Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. Unfortunately I will be missing out on the feast this year, but has not stopped me from eyeballing all the photos on Facebook from friends back home who are preparing for the army of family about to converge on a cornucopia of food. I found this image and thought it was fitting to give a big salutation from Peru. It is a guinea pig in a pilgrim hat, and it is significant from Peru because guinea pigs are a delicacy here…so I like to think of it as s/he is thankful for having today off while every gobbles down the turkey. It is kind of like those Chic-fil-A ads where the cow is walking around saying “eat more chikn”!
